Raven Tracker 24.07

Version 24.07 of Raven Tracker is now available. This release adds support for importing Bizimply timesheets and converting them directly into Raven Wage Sheets. The Wage Sheet Template has been improved for Assistant Managers and Supervisors with a new Notes section and displaying the week ending date of latest wage sheet.

Wage Template for Assistant Managers & Supervisors

The Wage Sheet Template is used to add regular employees and optionally their regular working hours. Once the Wage Sheet Template is created, all future weekly wage sheets are initialised using the employees and hours worked as defined in the template. This can significantly reduce the time taken to complete a wage sheet, all that’s left is to add the remaining employees and to verify the hours worked for all employees.

The Wage Sheet Template does not include pay rates and is visible to Assistant Managers and Supervisors who cannot access Wage Sheets. These users can therefore manage the Wage Template on a weekly basis. When a Site Owner or Manager creates a new Weekly Wage Sheet, the names and hours are automatically filled from the Template. Now all the manager needs to do is double check the hours and payment details, and then submit the wage sheet for the accountants to process.

This release adds a Notes section to the Wage Sheet Template. If the Template contains active employee lines, a new weekly wage sheet will copy the template notes field alongside the active employee lines.

This Notes section could be used by an Assistant Manager or Supervisor (who can update the wage template but cannot see the weekly wage sheets) to indicate which employees are due holiday pay etc.

The Wage Sheet Template now also displays the week ending date of the latest wage sheet. This is useful information for Assistant Managers and Supervisors to ensure the newest wage sheet was created by the site owner or manager before they reset the template for the current week.

Wage Template Snapshot Files

A previous release added a Wage Template Simple Spreadsheet filetype. This filetype retains all the detailed information seen on screen in the Wage Template itself, including if a Wage Template line is active or not, and is ideal for opening in standard spreadsheet applications for analysis.

Whenever the Wage Template is saved by clicking the blue Update Wage Template button, a snapshot file is automatically created and saved in the Activity Log. The Activity Log includes the user and when the Wage Template was updated, along with any relevant report data.

If the Wage Template is reset by accident before the relevant wage sheet was created, the Wage Template Snapshot Files can be retrieved from the System Log – accessible from the Site panel.

Import Bizimply timesheets

This release adds support for importing Bizimply timesheets and converting them directly into Raven Wage Sheets. The Wage Sheet Import option is set by an accountant on the Site Details page.

Once the import option is set, a new Wage Sheet Import page will be visible in the wage sheet menu. The Import page itself is very simple, simply drag and drop the Bizimply timesheet CSV file onto the window to initiate the import.

If there is a major error with the import operation, a red error message is displayed with the details and the import is abandoned.

If there are no problems at all, the import is performed and the report is blue with a list of all imported employees.

If any minor issues are found, the import is performed and the report is yellow with a list of all minor issues such as pay rate mismatches.

With this release, Raven Tracker now supports importing Bizimply & PARiM Timesheet CSV files.
