Raven Tracker 21.09

Version 21.09 of Raven Tracker is now available. This release introduces a Weekly Staff Rota planner for scheduling employee work shifts. We’ll be collaborating with clients to add more features in future updates. This release also adds the new reduced rate of 12.5% VAT which will remain in effect from 1 October 2021 until 31 March 2022.

Weekly Staff Rota Planner

This release introduces a new weekly staff rota planner. This rota, often called a roster or schedule, functions similarly to the existing wage sheets and will be immediately familiar to anyone who has used that.

The rota sheet is a list of employees, split into separate Manager, Bar, Kitchen and Cleaner Staff tables. Each day includes a start time, end time, and optional break time for that shift. This is used to calculate the working times.

Planned updates to the existing rota include,

• Rota template for regular staff and shift patterns
• Wage Budget Report, calculated cost and percentages
• Print Rota Sheet as PDF

Temporary reduced rate of 12.5% VAT

In the 2021 Budget, the Chancellor announced that the temporary reduced rate of 5% VAT would be extended to 30 September 2021. From 1 October 2021, the reduced rate for these supplies will be replaced by the introduction of a new reduced rate of 12.5% VAT. This will remain in effect until 31 March 2022.

For clients using Cash Sheets on Raven, they’ll see new Sales lines automatically added from 1 October 2021 for Liquor, Food and Accommodation (as applicable) for this new VAT rate.
