Sage 50 Payroll Exporter
For accountants, the last release introduced support for exporting wage sheets from Raven and importing them directly into Sage 50 Payroll via the Sage Employee Payment Hours and Rates Template. The export function has been improved, and in addition to Variable payment types, exporting now supports Fixed payment types, as well as employees receiving Holiday Pay, Overtime Pay, and Bonus Pay.
This level of integration has been achieved by adding Sage 50 Payroll Payment References to the Employee page. When a client adds a new employee, these payment references are automatically (and invisibly) completed using default values. Once the employee has been transferred to Sage 50 Payroll, the only field that needs updating in the Sage Integration panel is the Employee Reference field.
Employee Starter Form
For clients, the employee starter form has been extended with new fields for Banking, Nationality and Next of Kin, as well as confirming you have conducted a right to work check.
Checking a job applicant’s right to work
By law you must check that a job applicant is allowed to work for you in the UK before you employ them. You can either obtain an original identity document from the employee, or check the applicant’s right to work online. Once you have completed this process, you can update their starter form on Raven.
