Auction Labs Live was designed specifically to meet the needs of auctioneers selling goods on behalf of clients live in the salesroom.
Auction Labs Live is a completely new auction management software application built on a modern, network aware framework, enabling staff to share information and work together.
Auction Labs Live was designed in collaboration with a long established auctioneer firm and has been in production use since May 2011.

Cross Platform
The Auction Labs Live server component can be installed and run on Windows, Mac OS X or Linux. Users can run Auction Labs Live from an even wider variety of supported platforms, including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux desktops and even iPads. By default, data can only be accessed within the local office network, with no outside access allowed for maximum security.
Multi User System
Access to the Auction Labs Live interface is granted on a per employee basis. Each user is assigned a unique username and password, providing user auditing within the database. Access to the system can be further restricted via user privileges.
Industry Standard Database
Auction Labs Live is built upon the industry standard MySQL 5, a relational database management system (RDBMS) that runs as a part of the server component.
Auction Management
Auction Labs Live provides efficient opening, management and closing (archiving) of auction cases.
– Auction Dashboard
Once an auction case is created, the Auction Dashboard provides rapid and easy access to all features of the auction application. All auctions can be accessed at any time, even completed auctions, and users can quickly search all auction details within the system.
– Commission Bids
The commission bids screen allows registered buyers to place bids on any number of lots before the auction takes place. These bids are then displayed to the auctioneer during the live auction, either on-screen or printed on the Sales Book.
– Auction Sales
The sales screen provides a quick overview of all lots for that auction, with corresponding vendor, debtor, and buyer details. Each lot has a detailed view displaying all commission bids, optional reserve and guide prices, and allows easy entry of buyer and hammer price for winning bids.
Reports
Auction Labs Live provides a comprehensive range of ready-made reports and documents supporting the complete life-cycle of an auction case.
By default, all reports are output in the Portable Document Format (PDF), an open standard for document exchange. These reports can then be printed, emailed or archived. Some of the included documents and reports are detailed below.
– Pre Auction Advice
This letter informs the vendor when the auction takes place, and lists all auction lots.
– Auction Catalogue
The Auction Catalogue lists all lots by category and is output in A5 format ready for printing in booklet form.
– Lot Labels
This allows the lot number and lot description to be printed onto industry standard Avery labels.
– Sale Book
This is the traditional auction sale book, which can be printed in A4 or expanded A5 format. It lists all the lots, with lot number, reserve price, vendor, the highest commission bid and description, with room for the buyer number and hammer price to be completed by the auctioneer.
– Buyer Invoice
This is the purchaser sales invoice, listing all lots purchased by the buyer, with a summary detailing applicable premiums, VAT and the total due after deposit.
– Vendor Statement
This is the vendor account invoice, listing all lots sold, with a summary detailing all vendor costs applied, total sold, VAT and the balance due to the vendor.
